Creative Health Croydon
Evidence shows that engaging in creative arts, culture and heritage activities can have significant impacts on our health and wellbeing. From visual arts workshops helping young people explore their emotions to multi-art activities keeping people with dementia and their carers active in local cafes, creative health can promote positive health and wellbeing, prevent the onset of illness, and support the management of conditions for us all.
In Croydon, we know there are a large number of arts, voluntary, community, health and faith organisations that do great work supporting creative health within our diverse communities. From September 2024 to March 2026, a new Creative Health Team at Croydon Council is helping the continued development of this crucial work by providing support, advocacy, training, resource sharing, networking opportunities and funding to help the sector connect and grow.
