Apply to our Samuel Coleridge-Taylor 150 Grants Programme
Posted Friday 19 December 2025
In 2025, we celebrated the extraordinary life and legacy of the Croydon composer, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, 150 years since his birth.
The six-month anniversary programme included a new exhibition at the Museum of Croydon, takeover of Croydon Clocktower by The BRIT School, a weekend of live music in the town centre at Croydon Gladi Gladi and a concert with the London Mozart Players at Fairfield Halls.
Now the anniversary year is complete, we are handing over the reins to cultural and community organisations to continue to tell important local heritage stories. With thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) we have up to £25,000 available to grant to Croydon-based projects which either:
- Celebrate/commemorate Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and his legacy
- Explore/celebrate/commemorate Global Majority heritage
- Explore/surface/celebrate a Croydon hidden history
Applicants can apply for up to £2,500 toward the delivery of a heritage-based Croydon event/project taking place between 1 February – 12 April 2026.
Please download and read through the Grant Guidelines below to find out more information and to see how you can apply. From 7 January 2026 help will be available if you have further questions.
