Partner with us to put on Creative Health Events for your communities
Posted Thursday 30 January 2025

The Croydon Council Creative Health team are looking to partner with organisations to develop and deliver innovative creative and cultural events that raise awareness and/or engage communities in learning about health issue(s) that may be affecting them.
For example, you may want to run a music night event with and for Black men ages 30-40 and use this opportunity to disseminate information around prostate cancer.
Or you may wish to run an online event bringing a well-known South Asian dancer to engage people from the community at risk of diabetes to discuss the importance of attending eye checks.
We are particularly interested in ideas that help reach communities at risk of health inequalities, including:
- People experiencing low socio-economic status or deprivation, including people currently unemployed, living in poverty or on low incomes
- People from global majority backgrounds
- LGBTIQ+ or non-binary people
- People with physical or learning disabilities, sensory impairments or neurodivergence
- People who do not speak English fluently
- People with experience of the care system
- People experiencing homelessness
- Asylum seeker, refugee or migrant communities
If you have a community you’d like to reach about a particular issue and think a creative or cultural event could be a good way to do it, reach out to the Creative Health team using the form here.
The team will consider the event and ways we could help, potentially including planning, funding, project management support, or help linking with health services and providers.
