The Symphony Orchestra of India will be conducted by the distinguished Indian conductor Zane Dalal in a performance that includes Rossini’s bravura overture from his opera Semiramide and Khachaturian’s thrilling Violin Concerto, performed by Marat Bisengaliev. The concert will end with a performance of Tchaikovsky’s most popular symphony, his Symphony No. 6, known as the Pathetique, the premiere of which Tchaikovsky conducted himself a fortnight before his death.
