In this event Atinuke will take young readers on a thrilling exploration of Black British history uncovering hidden narratives. From the earliest inhabitants to the Black Tudors, Georgians, Victorians, and beyond, she will uncover diverse heroes who have shaped our nation and give us insights into complex historical events, including the world wars, slavery, the industrial revolution, Windrush, and the Black Lives Matter movement. Event attendees will also have the chance to colour and add their own style to illustrations from the book, with tips and tricks from Kingsley.

Prepare to be amazed as you challenge your preconceptions and broaden your understanding of British history.
