The creator of the Paddington films brings us the story of how Willy Wonka built his confectionery empire – with the help of his magic powers and a ‘tall’ Oompa-Loompa!

Paul King follows up his wonderful Paddington movies with a prequel to Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, with Timothée Chalamet as the young Wonka, starting as a confectioner with a small shop. He then encounters an Oompa-Loompa (Hugh Grant), who helps him form his chocolate empire. The music score harks back to the Gene Wilder film, but includes new songs by The Divine Comedy’s Neil Hannon. With a support cast of dependable British actors, this is a treat for all the family!
