Bernie Grant Arts Centre, National Youth Theatre and Talawa Theatre Company present a bold and brilliant new show for younger audiences by Bisola Alabi.
Directed by Azieb Pool
Join 13-year-old Refilwe, her aunty Agnus and their new friend Tumi this December, as they use dance moves, riddles and magic hair to escape the British Museum after closing time.
Inspired by Zukiswa Wanner’s southern African retelling of the classic fairy-tale Rapunzel, Refilwe is a family adventure about home, hair and connecting with your roots, for audiences aged five and older, with all performances presented in a relaxed environment.
Directed with playfulness and energy by the Artistic Director of Bernie Grant Arts Centre, Azieb Pool and starring some of Britain’s best young talent from the National Youth Theatre.
Ideal for an alternative family festive theatre trip.
- Talawa Studios is fully wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets nearby.
- There is a captioned performance on the 22nd December.
