Join The David Lean Cinema for a very special Halloween screening – the first London showing of Children of the Wicker Man since its Frightfest premiere.
Widely hailed as “The Citizen Kane of horror movies” (Cinefantastique), The Wicker Man (1973) has long captivated audiences, not only through its unsettling atmosphere but also through the stories surrounding its making. This extraordinary, new documentary offers revealing insights from those involved, including producer Peter Snell, while following director Robin Hardy’s sons, Justin and Dominic, as they uncover their late father’s lost papers.
As the brothers revisit the film’s haunting locations and confront the personal toll of their father’s creative ambition, Children of the Wicker Man becomes a moving exploration of legacy, reconciliation and the lasting impact of a cult classic.
Featuring a post-screening Q&A with the Hardy brothers and producer Dr Chris Nunn, this promises to be an unforgettable evening for film lovers and Wicker Man fans alike.
