About Bisi Alimi
Bisi Alimi is a human rights activist, speaker, and writer dedicated to advancing LGBTQIA+ rights and equality. As the first openly gay man on Nigerian national television, he faced discrimination and exile, which shaped his commitment to fighting for marginalized communities.
He has spoken at the United Nations, founded the Bisi Alimi Foundation, and contributed to global media like BBC and CNN. His work focuses on creating inclusive, safe spaces for all, driven by his lived experiences as an openly gay, HIV-positive Nigerian. He brings passion, expertise, and a unique perspective to advocacy, striving for a world free from prejudice and discrimination. He is currently the Executive Director for Wiki LGBT+ global.
