Marjorie Winfield’s unstable romance with returning WW1 GI Bill Sherman is just one of the problems the Winfield family has to negotiate in this delightful musical comedy.

 In this follow-up to On Moonlight Bay, Doris Day and Gordon MacRae return as the lovers living in a small Indiana town. GI Bill Sherman has returned from the war, and Marjorie Winfield is looking forward to getting married, but family misunderstandings, mostly engineered by her young brother Wesley’s wild imagination, put her happiness in jeopardy. The stars sing ballads of the period, including If You Were the Only Girl in the World and the title song.
