Art On Our Doorstep: Croydon’s Contemporary Art Fair

For one weekend, the Whitgift Centre becomes a gallery showcasing contemporary artists with a Croydon connection.

In partnership with Turf Projects, the shopping centre will see a curated exhibition of contemporary artists selected from an open call, alongside work from local young people and community creators.

A highlight of the weekend will be the reveal of the Croydon Masterpiece, a new artwork created with local residents by artist Rachel Gadsden. Visitors of all ages can also enjoy hands‑on activities and creative workshops throughout the event.

The Whitgift Centre is also home to reproductions of iconic paintings by Rousseau, Picasso and Renior as part of The National Gallery: Art On Your Doorstep. Running until 5 July 2026, it’s a unique opportunity to see 30 paintings from the collection reproduced in locations across the borough.
