About Creative Health Information Events
The Creative Health team is looking to collaborate with organisations in Croydon to deliver one-off creative and cultural events (c100+ attendees) that spread awareness of important health topics and services in engaging and accessible ways.
We are particularly interested in ideas that help reach communities at risk of health inequalities, including:
- People experiencing low socio-economic status or deprivation, including people currently unemployed, living in poverty or on low incomes
- People from global majority backgrounds
- LGBTQ+ or non-binary people
- Neurodivergent people
- People with physical or learning disabilities, or sensory impairments
For example, you may want to run a music event with and for Black men ages 30-40, and use this opportunity to disseminate information around mental health and depression, and introduce local services delivering relevant support through health stalls. Or you may wish to host a film-screening and Q&A panel that explores young onset dementia with communities at high risk of developing the condition.
See the ‘Past Creative Health Information Events’ section for more ideas, apply to run an event, or find an Upcoming Creative Health Information to join using the sections below.

If you have a community you’d like to reach about a particular issue and think a creative or cultural event could be a good way to do it, reach out to the Creative Health team using the form here. The team will consider your application and set up a meeting to discuss ways we could help, including funding (most grants will be between £1,000-£4,000 depending on event size), planning support, and help linking with health services and providers.
